Keshav Batish is a multi-instrumentalist music-maker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work expresses sonic kinships through dialogue across and parallel to cultures. Keshav is a hereditary practitioner of South Asian musics. He is trained in instrumental and vocal styles by his father Pandit Ashwin Batish and his aunt Pandita Meena Batish. Keshav also holds intervals of study with Creative Music makers such as Hafez Modirzadeh and Charles Tolliver. Keshav currently pursues a Doctorate in Music Composition at the University of California, Santa Cruz, under the guidance of Professors Karlton Hester, James Gordon Williams, Amy C. Beal, and Dard Neuman.
