Keshav Batish is a multi-instrumentalist music-maker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work expresses Sonic Kinship through dialogue across cultures. Keshav is a hereditary practitioner of South Asian music, trained in Hindustani classical and folk styles by his father Pandit Ashwin Batish and his aunt Pandita Meena Batish. Keshav has also held intervals of study with creative music makers such as Hafez Modirzadeh and Charles Tolliver. Keshav holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Composition from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
